The Story Behind My British Roots
My British Roots grew from a lifelong fascination with history and 20 years of genealogical research experience. Paired with a love of discovering the real people hidden behind family names and dates.
For me, the most fascinating part of genealogy is the moment a name on a record becomes a person. Finding where they lived, what they did, the community around them and the historical events that shaped their world makes the past feel tangible again.
I created My British Roots to combine careful family-history research with that wider historical story — and present it in a way that feels personal, modern and worth passing on.
